Johan Brink: MIEAust. CPEng. - Managing Director
Johan is the Managing Director and Certifying Engineer for East Coast Group. He is also the Certifying Engineer for all piling installations undertaken by East Coast Piling and Drilling QLD Pty Ltd, which specialises in working in sites with adverse geotechnical problems; or which requiring specialist geotechnical input.
Johan is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over ten years’ experience in Geotechnical/Structural Engineering. His experience includes:
- Feasibility Studies
- Conceptual and Detailed Structural/Geotechnical Design
- Preparation of Specifications and Tender Documents
- Geotechnical and Structural Analysis and Design
- Numerical Modelling using Finite Element Analysis
As a Structural and Geotechnical Engineer at East Coast Group, Johan specialises in Geotechnical Investigations for Residential, Commercial, and Industrial projects. He is also widely knowledgeable in the Structural Design of small buildings, industrial steel buildings, retaining walls, and foundations.
Johan holds both a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Hons.) and a Bachelor of Information Technology (Software Engineering/Data Communications) and has been a member of the East Coast family since 2012.

Lindsay Baguley: MIEAust. CPEng. RPEQ – Manager
Lindsay was engaged as an expert witness in several engineering/building matters before the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT). He was also retained as an Expert by The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC), (formerly known as Queensland Building Services Authority - QBSA) in a matter before the Supreme Court which involved Geotechnical, Structural and Screw Piling issues.
